Last night 12 of us went out to an official, full length dinner. We left at 8pm and finished at 11. Kate and I shared bruschetta, salad, a green pasta with gorgonzola sauce, pasta with cream sauce and sausage, tiramisu, and chocolate mousse. Our end of the table shared wine too! It was nice to just eat slowly, talk, relax, and enjoy the evening. The only bad thing was the salad. We thought we'd be gutsy and try it--it had ewe's cheese in it--but it was absolutely terrible. It tasted like smelly feet :( I need to go use my new espresso pot now, gotta get my caffeine for the morning walk! Miss you all and can't wait to see some of you at Mom and Dad's anniversary get together on the 19th!

Lovin it
The first week of class is almost under our belts. Our professor has more energy that all of us young kids do! He walks too fast, never seems to need a break, but is very enthusiastic about the class. Today we only have a 3 hour tour of the piazza del Popolo and then we end early to start off the weekend. Some of the people on the trip are going to Florence but Tarin and I decided to stay in Rome. The people that planned out the Florence trip have an impossible itinerary and it is supposed to rain so we didn't wanna be stressing out about going to a bunch of museums (which is what we do in class all week anyway). Their trip is a one-day trip with a total of 8 hours of riding a train too, not my ideal Saturday. Instead, we are going to start writing our papers and relax because it is supposed to be pretty rainy here too.
